Sting of the Heat Bug

A companion blog to my memoir, "Sting of the Heat Bug"

Seeing in the Dark

Sting of the Heat Bug is a memoir about miracles and magic, wishes and prayers, innocence and experience, love and loss and love again. It’s also about faith — the kind you’re born with, the kind you learn in catechism class, the kind you abandon when the Object of our faith doesn’t seem to give a damn — or a blessing. It’s a book about seeing in the dark — which, I guess, is what faith really is. You can’t see stars in the daytime, but the stars are still there. Whether you have read my book yet or are waiting until after Christmas, this is an invitation to comment on how you have seen in the dark. What did you see? Could you have seen it with the lights on? How did it change your life?
